Livelihood programs

All programs

WCC provides agricultural and integrated livelihood support that helps vulnerable families generate income, recover from shocks, and reduce dependence on emergency aid.

Detailed scope

Livelihood programs target women-headed households, returnees, and communities affected by drought, conflict, and economic collapse.

WCC supports agriculture, vocational skills, small business development, and market linkages adapted to local conditions in Banadir, Jubaland, Hirshabelle, Galmudug, and South-west states.

Integrated approaches combine cash or in-kind support with training, savings groups, and follow-up mentoring to build household resilience over time.

Key interventions

  • Agricultural inputs and farming skills training
  • Vocational and business skills for women and youth
  • Livestock restocking and animal health support
  • Cash-for-work and livelihoods recovery grants
