Programs
Health & Nutrition
Provides primary healthcare services and nutrition support to prevent and treat malnutrition among children, pregnant, and lactating women.
WCCO provides integrated health and nutrition services to address the interconnected health challenges facing women and children across Somalia, particularly in underserved, remote, and conflict-affected communities where access to quality healthcare remains limited.
Health Services
Our health programs deliver primary healthcare services to children under five and adults alike, including maternal and child health support, treatment of common illnesses, and referral pathways to specialized care when a case requires more advanced treatment. We work closely with local health facilities and community health workers to extend the reach of essential services to populations who would otherwise go without care, including internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities in hard-to-reach areas.
Nutrition Services
Our nutrition programs focus on the prevention and treatment of acute malnutrition through community-based nutrition interventions, including Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) practices, Nutrition and Health Hygiene Promotion (NHHP), and Community Health Promotion (CHP). We provide preventive and curative support to malnourished children, along with targeted care for pregnant and lactating women who are among the most vulnerable to nutrition-related risks during and after pregnancy.
Through this program, WCCO aims to reduce child and maternal mortality, improve long-term health outcomes, and build the foundation for healthier, more resilient communities across Somalia.
