About Us

Women and Children Concern (WCC) is a non-political, non-profit making, humanitarian woman organization at a national level directly involving with the community and pioneering peace and stability, and eradicating child abuse, gender based violence, poverty and vulnerability through implementation of emergency and development humanitarian projects across Somalia.

WCC is mainly involved in empowering Somali women and children, aiming for protection, access to essential services, and the reduction of vulnerability caused by decades of conflict, displacement, and natural disasters.

Through community participation, WCC promotes women's and children's rights, expands access to health, education, WASH, and livelihood opportunities, and combats gender-based violence while enhancing child protection and education.

The organization has focused since establishment on promoting the social, educational, economic, and protection needs of Somali women and children, spending greater efforts in raising awareness of rights in order to promote participation in decision-making processes and community development.

WCC takes pride in actively empowering women and children and advancing humanitarian response so that vulnerable communities can effectively realize dignity, safety, and opportunity across Somalia.
