Response to emergency
All programs
When emergencies and disasters impact Somalia, WCC prioritizes swift humanitarian action to protect women and children and meet life-saving needs without delay.
Detailed scope
WCC maintains capacity to respond rapidly to floods, droughts, disease outbreaks, conflict displacement, and other acute crises affecting Somali communities.
Emergency responses are designed with community participation and gender sensitivity, ensuring women and children are not left behind in evacuation, registration, or aid delivery.
After immediate relief, WCC links emergency interventions to recovery programs in health, WASH, protection, and livelihoods for sustained impact.
